Merellinen Kalda offers accommodation all year round with all the comforts of marine environment. Rooms have been renovated between 2009 – 2013. Accommodation options are available from single rooms to villas.

In ancient times, the upper reach of the river Risti was the harbour of vikings and the river delta was a safe haven for pirates. Later it became the swimming and fishing place of the villagers.

The land lord used to be a construction foreman who has artfully designed and had constructed all the comforts of this luxury paradise. Accommodation is offered for 20-24 persons. You can choose from a variety of facilities: restaurant services and /or the ballroom with kitchen, a patio with sea view, a smoke sauna, a wood-heated sauna by the pond, a refreshing pond shower cubicle, a barbecue hut, the roofed garden barbecue patio and a garden swing for adults and a lot of exciting outdoor entertainment for kids . By the sea there is a large sweet water pond framed by maintained lawns, walkways, fruit garden, flower plantations, herb and vegetable gardens providing the framework for recreational enjoyment.

Let the clean and saline Baltic Sea air envigorate your mind and soul. You can just lay back and relax or optionally choose from the variety of activities to your liking such as bird-watching, endemic plant photographing, getting to know the local ingredients including grapes, other fruits, roots, herbs and vegetables, counting stars without metropolitan lights. With some luck you can spot some endemic animals, for example, boars, deers, elks, foxes, harts and raccoons.

Relaxing wellbeing activities include several saunas, hot tub herbal baths and swimming in the recuperating mud pond. For sport enthusiastics there is fishing, rowing, Nordic walking, bike riding, hiking, beach volley ball, beach badminton, street basketball, soccer and the Finnish party game “Mölkky”.

Saaremaa is a heaven on Earth for any ornithologists. You can frequently spot e.g. cranes, swans, herons, sea eagles, duxka, sea gulls. Once a lucky guest spotted 38 different bird species during one morning.
